Mother's Day AKA my second Birthday! and more...

Look what my hair did after pregnancy....why me?

 Warning: This post is boring and more of a journal entry of mundane day to day stuff. Don't say i didn't warn you!

Lately with all the devastation in the world, I can't help but be thankful for all that I have and all the people I love in my life.

Mother's Day was great! My first Mother's Day! Alex got Jade ready for church so I wouldn't have to! I got to spend time with family and relax! Tasha made a delicious supper with dessert while I just kicked back.

We went rock climbing!

We went out to eat with my old roommates! I loved catching up with them! I was so blessed to have such great friends in college!

Jared, Alex, Jade and I all went on a hike this past week! It was my genius idea to go hiking at 7 pm to Scout Falls. We ended up getting lost and only made it to a pretty little meadow. It was freezing! But it was still a lot of fun because I was with some of my favourite people!

I signed up for a 5k on June 15th! This isn't exactly an impressive distance but you have to start somewhere. I have been enjoying running everyday more and more. I hope it sticks.

I painted Jade's nails! I love having a girl...can you tell? Not exactly a fun experience while she wiggled about but the end product was rewarding!

We went out to eat with Tasha and Ben before they left to Haiti! We went to our favourite Indian food restaurant...THE BANANA LEAF! It was mighty fine! We are so jealous of Ben and Tasha basking in the sun!

We got good word that Alex's family is coming to visit in June! Yay! We love visits! Jade loves all the attention she gets too!

Jade is growing growing growing!

LOVES Great Grandma Ramona! Always smiling at her!

Sleeping well and most of the time all through the night.

I got a couple giggles from her this week!

Loves listening to her Dad sing and play the piano.

Sunny weather, good news, making family memories, and great food. Life is rough.

Life is a crazy thing. This week we have been blessed so much. Alex wasn't enjoying his new job here in Utah very much and found himself learning next to nothing. He really wanted to learn from his internship and find out what route in business he wants to take. With the help from Tasha and Ben we discovered more job opportunities! Alex got a marketing job in Midway Utah. We are still living in Orem and Alex is commuting there for the rest of the semester. They offered to let him work long distance even when we go back to Rexburg for Alex's LAST SEMESTER EVER! After he graduates it will turn out to be a salary based job! We are moving up in the world!

We got to spend a couple days with my brother Jordan and his fabulous wife, Heather! We helped them pack and move, went out to eat to one of my favs...WINGERS, went to the Nickle Arcade and caught up on each other's lives. I can't wait until December when we are both in Utah together at the same time. Double date madness!

Seriously YESTERDAY we all noticed a difference in Jade. Other than her ever growing baby fat :) She can now see...at least a lot more. She can follow us with her eyes around the room and stares at us intently. It is so fun! Every day there is something new with this girl! I just love her!

Every Sunday since being in Utah, Alex and I take Jade in her stroller down the Provo Canyon while we rollerblade. Haha. No one rollerblades anymore. I am pretty sure the youngins we pass on the trail are wondering what contraption is on our feet. But we all have fun anyways! There are such pretty views!

I have started running...slightly. ha. I want to sign up for a 5k and work my way up. I don't exactly enjoy it yet but discipline is good right?

For Fhe last week we all made personal pizzas! I made a BBQ pizza and it was mighty fine!

This last week we also went to Alex's cousins house for supper! It was fun to see their cute new baby Fin and eat great food!

Tasha and Ben invited us over for supper one night and boy can Tash cook. That reminds me i need to beg her for some recipes!

We went on two hikes this past week. Both were fun and IN THE SUN! I love this weather! We hiked to the Y here at BYU and then to some falls with Ben and Tash. Jade is just starting to accept the sun and the outdoors. She is what Alex likes to call the "indoorsy type".

Tasha and Ben also invited us rock climbing and it was tooooo fun! We are going this Friday too because we had such a good time.

I took Alex shopping....yes SHOPPING! And he didn't even complain! It was...pleasant to say the least! We got some work out clothes and Alex also got some much needed new swim trunks. Swimming and Summer here we come!

The best part of this week was SKYPING Alex's sister, Jenny's new baby girl! We took a screen shot and we can't get over how much she looks like Jade. They are going to look like sisters! I am sad I don't get to hold her until July. Little Demery couldn't get cuter!
