Transitions are in the air!

We got to have 3 Thanksgivings this year! Yeah, not complaining! We celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving in Idaho, one pre-thanksgiving with Alex's grandparents in Utah, and American Thanksgiving in Canada! Sounds backwards but it was all fun!

We were able to go visit Alex's grandparents in Utah for a weekend. They were missing Jade quite a bit and we didn't know when we would se them next, so off we went to Utah.

Then we went to Canada for American Thanksgiving. We were able to get together with my sister Brittany, her husband Jason, her little "grill", Autumn, my grandma and grandpa Hill and my parents! We had a great feast and saw two GREST MOVIES! Like seriously, my favourite movies of the year. We saw Catching Fire and Frozen. Both gave me chills they were so good. I forgot to mention we went out with my high school best friend, Stephie!! We met her Fiance, Kieth for the first time. I went in thinking no one is good enough for my Stephie but turns out...he is a great guy and a perfect match for her. I can't wait to help her wedding plan and hang out with them starting in January! We went to a disappointing Tiger's hockey game....yes that means we lost! Since we are ranked first, I was hoping for a good game of fights and domination.

We went to Island Park with some good friends to celebrate Cathryn's 25th Birthday! We stayed at a beautiful cabin! It was so fun. Lindsay and I made this two layer, funfetti cake! We were so proud!

Alex wrote his LSAT!!!! He is so excited it is over and so am I!!! I have my husband back!!!! Thank you for all who kept him in your prayers and even fasted for him! We felt the support! That night we had friends over to celebrate and eat a snickers, brownie, ice-cream cake! That combination is deadly!

For "fun" I took several sections of the LSAT and grew A LOT of sympathy for my sweet husband. That test is exhausting!

Of course an update on my crafting:

I made a tree skirt for under 10 dollars! I bought 4 yards of fabric at 2 dollars a yard! Then put the ruffles on top of a circle shaped table cloth. It was more work than I thought but I love it. And we were given my Grandma Bullock's Christmas tree which is 9 feet tall and has pre lit colour and white lights! Makes me miss my dear Grandmother who has passed on.

George is BACK!

And we found an ugly christmas sweater for Jade at the goodwill....It's a beaut!

It was my Dad's Birthday last week and I put together a video of some moments we shared throughout my years growing up. My internet is awful and wouldn't upload a video as big as I wanted it. So i cut in  half so I could get at least some of it up for him to see. It ends abruptly and weird. Sorry. I love my Dad and I always have. I look up to him in every way. Here is the link to the video....

WE GOT MY PARENT'S CHRISTMAS GIFT TO US IN THE MAIL!!! I can't say what it is because Brittany and Jason hasn't received theirs yet and it is the same thing. BUT let it be known, I am spoiled...and I love it!

We got sick last week which was bad timing right before the LSAT but we allmade it through. Jade was miserable and wouldn't eat much. She started to look skinny! Weird I know! Skinny for her I should say.

My old friend Chris got back from his mission in Boston. I can't wait to see him in January. He is a hoot!

We are excited to celebrate Alex's graduation next weekend! He graduates in Business Finance. Both of our parents are coming! We have so many hands to help us move our things into storage...WOOO!!! Then we are off to Bend Oregon to spend the Christmas Holiday with Alex's family. I can't wait to see how the Stevens do it. It won't feel the same without Katie (who is on a mission in Mississippi) and Tasha and Ben (who are living in Africa)!

Now I should go pack up my house....

A little bit of this, a little bit of that.

We took family photos! I can't wait to take new photos as we add more and more little people to our family. Don't worry guys this is NOT a pregnancy announcement. You have a while before you have to endure reading my pregnancy blog posts! HA! My best friend Stacey took our family photos for us! They turned out great! I just love that Stacey girl a little bit! :)

My old roommates came to Rexburg to visit and we all hung out! It was such a fun weekend catching up!

Halloween happened. I was so excited to dress up my real life doll. What a cute stone age family eh?

We carved pumpkins!

Alex won his BYUI Advanced Soccer league championship for the 4th year in a row!

Here is a video I made for him. It is a collection of some clips I took of his games for the season. Every time he scored I happened to not be filming or my camera died...what are the chances? Oh well it is still a great video!

We are moving to Med Hat Canada in January! I can't wait to be home for 4 months :) Like really....I can't wait. We feel so blessed to have such a generous family that is willing to help Alex learn the law firm ropes at my Dad's office! Alex is excited to dip his toes into what will one day be his full time career! I'm excited to see family on a regular basis and eat at my Dad's Dairy Queen. It is extreme torture to see DQ commercials, drool, and know you are 8 hours away from a free blizzard :)

We celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving! We had some of our good friends over and ate...and ate and...ATE!!

I have been crafting up a storm....I have a problem. Someone needs to rip my hands off the glue gun and sewing machine.

Alex takes his LSAT test at the beginning of December so keep him in your prayers! He is so nervous but I know the Lord will bless him for all the hard work he does for our little family! He works so hard that when he does take any time for himself he feels guilty. I am always begging him to take a nap or watch a 20 minute show with me. It take a lot of convincing!

A couple weeks back he got his practice LSAT tests in the mail...and he was excited!? haha. He is such a great man, and he is all mine :)

We finally get to talk to Alex's brother Ben and his wifey, Tash in Africa tonight on Skype! We miss them a lot and it will be so good to hear from them. Anytime we waste any food at all, Alex will joke that we could have fed HIS starving family in Africa. LOL. The Africa jokes are endless around here. Joking aside though, we are so proud of their hard work they are doing to help the economy in Africa.

Things are all falling into place! Alex graduates in a month and a half! Both Alex and my parents are coming to celebrate! Good times ahead!

What Jade is up to at 8 months..

Jade is 8 months!

Updates:

Rolling around and so close to crawling it is ridiculous. By the time I finish this blog post she honestly could be crawling. Alex made a prediction of when he thinks she will be crawling by. I am curious to see if she reaches his goal for her!

She eats cheerios and mush.

She weighs....I don't know...a lot?

She has no teeth but I feel like she has been pre teething forever!

She loves... standing, baths, her sock monkey, Alex playing his guitar and singing, her sippy cup, sleeping, jumping, chatting, skyping, mirrors and fake coughing.

She hates...being woken up early from naps, clapping during football games, toys dropping, the snot suction, bottles that don't come "fast enough", when you leave her sight and not being able to slobber on electronics.

She says dada, mama, bbbbbbbbbbbbb, and her favourite....add? She is an ultra nerd.

She got sick for the first time recently:( Colds are not fun!

Her bed time is 7 pm and she sleeps until 5 or 6. I give her a bottle and then she sleeps until 8! Lucky me!

She loves when Alex puts her upside down.

She high fives!

Back In Jade's Turf! (Rexburg)

It's "Screme" season guys!! YAYYYY! I love Halloween!!! Here is a sneak peek of Jade's costume! She is going to be the CUTEST Cave woman!!! Or should I say...Cave Baby!!?

My best friend Stacey has been over, helping me sell my clothes I don't wear anymore. It was so sad but now I have a normal amount of clothes for a human being. Now I just have outfits I LOVE, like the one below!

I have been SOO busy with packing, unpacking and moving from Utah back to Idaho! We were so blessed to have Ramona and Tom offer their basement to us for Alex's Summer internship! I don't know a lot of people that would put up with a family in their basement for 4 months! I enjoyed getting to know them and learning from their life's of experiences. From Ramona, I learned humour, selflessness and service! From Tom I learned, self determination, love and the importance of making memories.

After packing up and leaving Utah, we visited my parents for almost a week before the semester started. We got to relax, relax, relax!!! We can always count on being doted on when we visit them! They house is like an all inclusive five star resort....with great company! My Dad is always so busy with his church calling and work that the times I get to spend with him, I cherish! That man amazes me! I have never heard him complain as he leaves for all-night-church-meetings while we plan movies, games and munchies! Oh yeah and Jade got her Canadian citizenship certificate!!! This gives me so much joy. Mom, we are sending her to your house in the summers for her summer jobs...that's okay right?

Then after Canada we spent two days in Yellowstone National Park! We got to go with our best friends, Skyler and Lindsay! It was GORGEOUS!!!! My personal favourite part was the natural hotsprings! Jade was a tourist attraction for these lovely ladies!

Jade's fan club

Then we gave the boys some new hairdos!

We said goodbye to Tash and Moze, who left for Africa! I cry when I think about it! SO SAD!

I'm in heaven having my best friend home from her mission! Allie has been over tons and I just have missed her SO much!

I redid a rocking chair for the nursery!

I painted all of our furniture haha. It took me forever but I love our room.

I won an auction for a silver macbook! We got it for $380! Happy early graduation gift to Alex!!!

Jade Updates:

She has sooo many clothes. Too bad most of them won't fit her by 9 months. Why do babies grow so fast?

She sits alllll by herself.

The doctor said she is the 75th percentile for her weight and height! We were shocked considering our genetics haha

Alex biked the Alpine loop...can I say craaaaazy!

Tessa Oliverson from my home town now lives in Rexburg! I got to babysit her boys, who are angels! I am taking notes! Tessa babysat Jade so Alex and I could have a temple date! After the temple we visited our favourite secret spot in Rexburg....the hospital cafeteria! Their food is insanely good and cheap! It is adorable and they put a fresh flower at every table.

Our house it almost complete. I'm not quite finished Jade's nursery.....so next post will include our new house! :) Here is some sneak peeks of Jade's nursery.

Our new apartment is in a fourplex. And our best friends Sky and linds live just downstairs!! We have had way too much already.

Jared came to visit me!! It was sooooo fun to have him and even go on a group date with him! We did a backwards date...and I think it turned out crazy fun! Video to come.

Can you guess what this food is for?
