Clearwater Florida Trip

It's about time that I document our Florida trip! My sister and brother in law Dave, so graciously did a babysitting swap with us for a week each and we are ever so grateful! 6 Kids all 6 and under is no joke. So a big shout out to them because without them, our trip wouldn't have been a reality.

We had some flight credit that we needed to use before it expired and were wanting a trip that was little to no cost. So Florida seemed like the obvious cheap and sunny location. We left on thanksgiving day which wasn't as sad as it seems because we had already celebrated Canadian thanksgiving with friends a month before and filled our bellies full of gravy.

The only hard thing about traveling on thanksgiving day was that once we arrived in Florida, not even Mcdonald's was open to serve us food. We drove around aimlessly, hoping for a few calories, as we hadn't eaten much that day. No luck, so we distracted ourselves by walking around our hotel grounds and watching Starwars episode 5 and fell asleep.

Alex has fond memories of visiting Florida with his Grandpa Demery while growing up. His Grandpa is from Florida and would take them to the beach, take them out to seafood restaurants and all the other fun stuff Florida has to offer.  One of his memories is of eating at "Crabby Bills". So naturally we had to stop by and see if it was as good as he remembers..and it was.

We spent most of our vacation on the beach. We both read books, played games, chatted, napped and relaxed. The hotel beach had live music that we very much enjoyed critiquing, criticizing  and or being impressed...you never knew what you were gonna get that day.

We also spent some time walking Pier 60 and shopping at all the little trinket shops.

We saw Mocking Jay part two and very much enjoyed that, went out to a japanese restaurant (my favourite), and played all day at Busch Gardens.

Both Alex and I had been to Busch Gardens when we were kids and loved it. We just had to go and take advantage of kid-less fun! It was endless awesomeness and we were both ridiculously hyper like little children all day long.

Oh yeah, we got Alex a new wedding ring. This kid can keep his high school clothes in pristine condition and never lose his old school IPOD but is now on his 4th wedding ring haha. I guess he has to act human sometimes cause he is pretty close to perfection.

We will forever have great memories of our Clearwater Florida trip of 2015! I love spending quality time with my forever guy!

Natalie planned a lot of fun with all the cousins together back home too! These are some pictures to prove it. Natalie and Dave are amazing!
