Time flies when you are having fun!

It's been almost a month since I last posted. Time has been flying by and time has also been consumed with family time! I love it!

Kristy and Kelsy came and stayed at our house one their way to conference. It was way too much fun and we even met up with Spencer! Kristy and Kelsy spoiled Jade with this adorable outfit.

Jade really liked conference too!

We moved from our first home together and left to Canada for a week trip and then moved all our stuff to Orem Utah! This isa picture in front of our first home together. We will miss Middletown Apartments...well maybe not so much. I much prefer tile instead of carpet in my kitchen.

Jade survived the move by sleeping, sleeping and sleeping. Lucky girl!
I spy with my little eye a CUTE  little girl!
The Winter semester is over and this screen is always nice to see.

Canada was GREAT! I love going home! We saw friends...

And we also picked up a present from Jade's Great Grandma. She gave us a necklace that her husband (my grandpa) gave her way back when. The necklace is made of jade and he bought it for her because it reminded him of her beautiful green eyes. What a romantic. This necklace now belongs to Jade and I have been enjoying wearing it until it fits Jade. It is fun to have a piece of Jade around my neck to remind me of my beautiful daughter.

My old Bishop and his wife brought me  and Jade gifts. Jade got a personalized hooded bath towel and I got an entire ice cream cake to myself! :) I adore them!

We made it official....JADE IS NOW CANADIAN! I loved having a dual citizenship and I think she will too. I belong to TWO  beautiful countries...I know..be jealous.

Jade even had to get her first headshot to apply for Canadian citizenship.
We saw our niece Autumn. Jade and Autumn loved each other  as you can see...

Well at least I enjoyed snuggle time with Autumn...

We hung out with my cousins and their babies.... SO MUCH FUN!

(Stolen from Brooke's blog)

We will be in Utah until September! We have been here for a couple of days and I'm already excited for the next four months! The weather is so nice and there is so much to do. Today we made a Utah bucket list and I plan on making it all happen. So far we have just organized, cleaned and visited with family.

Auntie Tash spends most of her lunch breaks visiting us! :)
All ready for church!

Finally in the same city as this guy!
These are pictures of our new place in Utah...these are for family so feel free to skip over...
My new sewing station!

Where are my husband's clothes you may ask....they are else where. He fully supports my hobby of collecting clothes. haha. Okay not so much.
Where Alex spends a lot of his time...
Extra beds...come visit!
Where I spend most of my time.
Baby room...Alex's Grandparents got us that rocking chair!  I plan on covering the cushions in the near future to match her quilt! I LOVE IT!

This week we went to a Chilean restaurant and it was....well Alex liked it haha. But in all seriousness it was nasty but fun for Alex to get some of his favourite Chilean food.

Speaking of moving earlier...a big thanks to my friend Kamrie for bringing a whole jeep load of our stuff to Utah for us! She saved our lives. Having a baby doubled our load. And another big thank you to Logan for helping us move and letting us use his truck!

Last semester is over and we are just starting the Spring semester....school school school. It never ends.

Jade is getting SO big and I can't believe next week she will be TWO MONTHS!

1 Month Old...ALREADY

This week has been nuts as we have been wrapping up the semester!
This should sum it all up in one giant list...

1. Jade turned ONE MONTH this week! Time flies when you are having a blast!

This photo was taken ON her one month birthday!

2. We found out we will get Jade's birth certificate just in time to visit Canada after the semester! I can't wait to lounge around, eat my heart out, FINALLY go into the hot tub after 9 months, watch movies, go quading, visit old friends and maybe even visit Calgary or Banff. I am so excited for Jade's first trip to my great country...CANADA :)...Now onto the paper work of making her a dual citizen...

3. Did I mention this semester is almost over?

4. Alex's sister Katie gave her farewell talk last Sunday and although we couldn't be there, she sent us a copy of her talk. It boosted me this week with her beautiful insights and testimony! She is going to change lives in Brazil!

5. We started planning our trip to Oregon this summer for Alex's sister, Michelle's wedding! We plan on going a week before so Alex can introduce me to the West coast beaches, go on tons of hikes, relax and celebrate Michelle and Tj's marriage with the family. Now to find a dress to wear to the wedding...

6. My cousin, Joe and his wife Amy are pregnant! I get even more excited for people now that I have gone through it all. The whole process is miraculous and helps you put your life into perspective. God trusts us to take care of his children and this huge responsibility has become first priority to me. Congrats Amy and Joe, can't wait to watch for updates and pictures!

7. For my birthday, I treated myself to a pedicure to kick start this nice weather and flipflop season.

8. Jared surprise visited me this week. On my birthday, Jared phoned me and didn't mention my birthday or even hint. I thought he forgot! The next day I woke up from a nap to hear a knock at the door. I thought I was still dreaming....NOPE...he was there in the flesh. It was nice to see him even if it was only briefly and once again he came bearing gifts. One free date night to Olive Garden and a babysitter!

9. Nat and Dave blessed their sweet baby Oaklyn! Her dress was the fluffiest I have ever seen...yes it might even be fluffier than Jade's! I still find myself re-admiring the pictures of her in it!

10. We got some pictures back from Jenny that she took of Jade while she was here! I love them! She is so talented and so good to us! Most of the photos above are from her.

11. I forgot to get Alex an Easter basket but I didn't however forget about April Fools! haha. I drove Al to work that morning and gave him a goodbye hug with motives...I ever so gently placed a "kick me" sign on his back as he walked into work! haha. I know...cruel....but so funny. After work, I picked him up with a parking ticket in my hand. Sadly Alex takes disappointment like a champ and CAN'T get mad, so his reaction was not as exciting as I anticipated.

12. The other day I got a migraine and was out for the night. Alex stayed up with Jade all night, did the dishes, wrote me a nice note and then went to work tired the next day! I picked a good one! :) We must both have been tired the next day because after work he asked if I could pick him up. I got Jade in her car seat and headed to our parking spot only to discover our car was gone. Alex had driven it to work and didn't need a ride at all. Yep, we need sleep.

13. Sunday I woke up with an eye infection...and the next thing I know, Jade has one too! Poor little thing. It is looking a lot better now thank goodness!

14. We coloured Easter eggs this week with our friends. We had a ridiculous amount of eggs and none went without colour.

15. We went to our last week in our ward. We are going to miss our calling as sunday school teachers to the 12 year olds.

16. I went through the wrong door on my way out of testing center this week....yep alarms went off and all eyes were on me. The way I look at it, I did them all a favour....just trying to wake them up. Again...i'm blaming it on lack of sleep.

17. We got invited over to my old roommate's house for supper. It was delicious and Alex enjoyed watching March Madness.

I love this feeling every year when the weather slowly becomes warm and inviting! So much to look forward to!

busy busy busy!

This past week has been very eventful to say the least. So much has been going on that now that it is over our house feels empty, and days have returned to our normal routines.

Alex gave a beautiful blessing at church on Sunday that made us all cry and Jade couldn't have looked more precious. My Mom did a fabulous job on her dress and Jade behaved perfectly. Jade received her blessing this past Sunday but Alex and I received the best blessing we could have imagined on March 5th, the day Jade entered our lives. Alex and I have become that annoying couple that is obsessed with every movement and noise our daughter makes. We just can't get enough.

This week we got out mine and Alex's baby pictures to compare them with Jade. I have a hard time seeing much of me in her quite yet. She is all daddy for now!

This is me as a baby and child...

 This is Alex....

And now Jade...

See...alllll Alex!

My mother in law came to help us out for a week. She camped out in our living room on an air mattress with no complaints. She even took Jade for a few nights so we could catch up on some sleep. It was glorious. Tina (my mother in law) and I just spent our days watching movies, eating and playing with Jade. It was so relaxing and fun. I am so glad she came and I was so sad to see her leave.

I was able to do several things this week that wouldn't have been possible without our super babysitter, Tina. She pushed me out the door to the Relief Society Birthday party and Alex's futsal championship. Both were great and Alex even won first place and a t shirt. I was in such a rush to not make Alex late for his game that when we got there I looked down only to discover that i put on two different shoes. Alex seemed to think it was pretty funny and luckily no one noticed. I have a feeling this is just the start to many forgetful Mommy moments.

The rest of Alex's family came this past weekend for Jade's baby blessing at church. It was a full house or should I say one bedroom apartment haha. It was loads of fun and Jade got spoiled with cuddles and kisses.

We all went out for lunch at Wingers and the waiter gave us free dessert for celebrating the birth of Jade. Stretching the rules a bit but no one complained.

I have finally gotten out my box of pre-pregnancy clothes. I don't even recognize my body anymore. Alex and I have been working on fattening me up. Hopefully I will fill my pants out again...because right now I look like a 10 year old child. Puking and diabetes for 9 months really put it's toll on me. So for now I am enjoying my milkshakes, doughnuts and fried foods.

Alex's sister Jenny, took tons of pictures of Jade for us before she left. I was so excited about this because after seeing the turn out of our engagement pictures she took, I knew they would be keepers. I can't wait to see the end results!

Speaking of Jenny....she is almost ready to vacate her baby girl from her stomach. She has one more month to go! I can't wait for pictures, skype dates and eventually holding the little precious in the Summer! Our two girls are going to have so much fun growing up together. Cousins are the best!

Jade has been sleeping pretty dang good for a newborn. At only three weeks, I get up once a night! Pretty good eh? I have even had a couple nights where she slept from midnight until 7! This girl likes her sleep! Don't get me wrong...she has her bad nights where all she wants is to be held and cuddled but for the most part she treats me well at night.

On the day we blessed Jade, another blessing came into our lives...our little niece Oaklyn Anne McGarry! She is pretty much the cutest, don't you think??

We are so happy for Dave and Natalie and can't wait to get our girls together. Cousins all round! Natalie has the most adorable family and her boys will be such great big brothers. I can see they love her already. I loved having a big brother and I think Oaklyn will too!

I had my 21st birthday this week and it was full of nothing which is what I asked for. I watched tv shows and played with Jade all day and then went out to eat with Alex. We came home to do, you guessed it...nothing. It was great!

I can't remember if I have wrote about Alex's internship this summer or not? Alex accepted an internship in Draper Utah at Progressive finance. We move there on April 20th, right after a week long visit to Canada! We will be living in Utah until September. So to all my Utah friends....let's party! Yes that means you too Jared Macdonald!

The semester is coming to a close and I am thrilled! So much fun is ahead and everyday is new and exciting with Jade around. Mommy life is so fun!
